Hi. I'm Jas.
I'm an aspiring film writer / director based in the East of England. I also do photography, writing, and I dabble in some art.
For as long as I can remember, I've been a film nerd - I have vivid memories of watching 'Coraline', 'ET', 'Jaws' over and over and over, fantasising about the day I would be able to have a go myself. I got gifted my first video camera at around the age of 10, where I used to dress up my (unfortunate) younger brother in various outfits and direct him in my short films.
I like to think my skills have progressed since then - out of 6 university projects I completed whilst getting my degree at The Met Film School London (1st Class Hons in Content, Film and Media Production), I wrote 5 and directed 4. I now spend my time working on my own personal scripts, ranging from short films to features, and wandering around with my vintage film camera which was gifted to me by my grandad.
I mostly enjoy portraying a distinctly British vibe with a strong social message, gritty aesthetic and uplifting messages in my films and photography. However, I do all sorts - whatever weird and wonderful ideas my brain creates!
